FP Advisory and Information & Education Committee

 

The FP Advisory and Information & Education Committee consists of five to nine members who are broadly representative of the community.  Members are to include teens, low income women, members of minority groups and area professionals.  This committee meets annually in April. The next meeting is scheduled for April 20, 2017.

 

The objectives of the FP Advisory and Information & Education Committee are:

 

  • To use the collective wisdom and judgment of the members to better evaluate and monitor the agency's Family Planning program policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • To be a liaison between the Board of Health and the community.
  • To offer broad based recommendations to administration and the Board of Health.
  • To review and approve all informational and educational materials developed or made available in the program prior to their distribution to assure that the materials are suitable for the population and community for which they are intended and to assure their consistency with the purposes of Title X.
